Amelia Brown is a graduate student in the MPA program. She is studying local government and nonprofit management. In addition to her responsibilities as a research associate, she is currently serving as the Development Director for the BYU Grantwell program and as a lead advisor in the MPA student mentorship program.
She is passionate about the community and promoting change. Her experiences working in the nonprofit, local government, and private sectors have taught her the value of pursuing dreams, setting goals, and striving to make a difference in the world. When she is not actively trying to save the world, she can be found water skiing, snow skiing, hiking and writing her life goals on sticky notes. |
Andrew Evans is a second-year JD/MPA student at Brigham Young University. Prior to coming to BYU, Evans received a B.A. in philosophy from Southern Virginia University.
His current research includes measuring the impact of religious law schools in future public service and professional ethics. His other interests include criminal justice reform, intergovernmental relations in urban and rural communities, and service-learning in higher education.
Evans serves in the Utah Army National Guard. He enjoys wrestling, running and musical theatre.

Breck Wightman is an MPA candidate at the Romney Institute of Public Management, emphasizing in PhD preparation and public resource development. He is currently assisting Dr. Robert K. Christensen with a book project with that seeks to answer the question, “Do Courts Matter?” The study incorporates both quantitative and qualitative analysis to evaluate the impact of court administrative action on social policy.
Breck plans on pursuing an academic career after completing a PhD in public affairs or public policy. His research interests include several topics in Intergovernmental Relations (IGR):

Jordan Hunter is an MPA candidate of the class of 2018 at BYU. He attended BYU-Idaho, where he earned his B.S. in psychology with an emphasis in I/O psychology.
He currently assists Dr. Christensen in researching prosocial behavior differences between private and public sectors. His other research interests also include quantitative measures in the workplace, organizational behavior, and data analytics. Jordan is from Arizona and enjoys anything in the mountains, basketball, and good food. |
